Runnin’ around in the city life
Tryna find what the feel is like
As long as I got you then the feel is right
But it’s ok
And it’s all good
And we all should
And we all would
But it’s all good
There’s a lot on your plate
There’s a lot on my seat
Tell me when it’ll go away
I don’t want to feel the pain
And you don’t want to feel defeated
So tell me when it’ll go away
There’s a lot on your plate
There’s a lot on my seat
Tell me when it’ll go away
I don’t want to feel the pain
And you don’t want to feel defeated
So tell me when it’ll go away
Don’t leave without me like it’s all ok ya
Don’t leave without me no it’s not in my place ya
Said our feelings got lost
Tell me who gone pay the cost
Tearing down these walls
Loving all your flaws
Don’t you ever let go
Cuz I’ll never let go
I put my love all on hold
Until you make it back home
And then you say we’re ok
And then I look in your face
And then you wipe tears away
Tell me what you gone’ say
There’s a lot on your plate
There’s a lot on my seat
Tell me when it’ll go away
I don’t want to feel the pain
And you don’t want to feel defeated
So tell me when it’ll go away
Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
